Immediate Opportunities:

(1) Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship

Sports Centre Physiotherapy in Charlottetown PEI is offering a fantastic opportunity to advance as a physiotherapist in sports. You will work exclusively with college athletes and teams, receive structured mentorship from Colin Moore, a diploma holder and mentor in the SPC credential program and Ellen Dixon, a certificate holder in sports physiotherapy. You will work in the Holland College-based clinic treating college athletes. You will work directly with Holland College varsity teams from tryouts, preseason, regular season, playoffs, and potentially Nationals. This fellowship enables you to take a large step towards the certification process in sports therapy as you will be able to gain approximately 100 hours of on-field work with soccer, rugby, football, volleyball, and basketball. The fellowship runs from Aug 26, 2024, to April 25, 2025.

Fellowship consists of:

  • 25 to 30 hours a week of clinic time*
  • 10 to 15 hours of game coverage for Holland College Hurricane fall and winter sport teams (cover teams for their complete season)*
  • Weekly meetings with diploma and/or certificate holder
  • Teacher assistant for athletic injuries course
  • In-house educational sessions at Sports Centre Physiotherapy

*Hours will vary with the time of season, playoffs, and Nationals and will average out to these numbers over the course of the fellowship.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Valid license to practice in PEI
  • Valid liability insurance
  • Sports First Responder certification
